Convert a bank statement PDF to CSV or Excel

Drop a text-based PDF statement and get a clean table of transactions — date, description, amount, balance — ready for spreadsheets, accounting imports, or tax prep. Your file is parsed on your device and never uploaded.

Private by design: your file is parsed in this browser and never uploaded. Scanned (image-only) PDFs are not supported yet.

How it works

  1. Choose or drop a bank statement PDF (must be a text-based PDF, not a scan).
  2. The tool detects the date, description and amount columns automatically.
  3. Check the preview — if a column landed wrong, adjust the mapping once and it is remembered for that layout.
  4. Download CSV or .xlsx. Free exports include the first 15 transactions; a $15 one-time unlock removes the limit and adds multi-file batch with merged exports.

Private by design

Unlike online converters, no file is sent to a server. All parsing runs in your browser with pdf.js, so statements never leave your machine. You can disconnect from the internet after the page loads and it still works.

What the CSV looks like

Four columns: date (ISO format where the statement shows a year), description, amount (money in is positive, money out negative), and balance when the statement includes a running balance. Debit/credit column layouts are folded into the signedamount.

Which banks are supported?

Conversion is generic: it detects the column layout of any text-based PDF statement rather than relying on per-bank templates. We maintain bank-specific notes forChase,Bank of America,Wells Fargo,Barclays,Monzoand more in the “By bank” menu — but the same converter works for any bank.

Not supported yet

Scanned or photographed statements (image-only PDFs with no text layer). The tool detects these and tells you instead of producing garbage.
